I passed this beautiful undeveloped barn in the village of Cosby near Leicester recently and stopped to admire it.
Timber framed with brickwork infill panels and built off a local stonework plinth. Pitched slate roof.
Dated 1766 or so I thought. There is a clue there that even I could not miss. Except someone has subsequently told me the date relates to the timber structure and that the brickwork was rebuilt at a later date. It’s still an impressive structure though.
